He Fought The Good Fight

Two nights ago I had a dream that I received "the text" from my friend Dianna that said our sweet Cade had gone to heaven.    I woke up and went immediately to pray.    God has talked to me this way before so I knew this was his way of preparing me.

We got up today and packed the car to head to Biloxi.   Big Guy had a State Archery competition for the weekend.     We were in the middle of a blinding rain when I realized that something was wrong.    Dianna confirmed that I was right with two words, "He's gone."

We pulled over and shared with our boys.   After spending some time in prayer we started a very quiet drive back home.

Our emotions are so mixed tonight, but as we had family prayers Big Guy summed it up best when he prayed, "Lord, thank you for answering my prayers for Cade, but I didn't know it was going to hurt so much."

Please keep our precious friends, Danny, Dianna and Calli in your prayers as they (and we all) adjust to life without Cade.

Cade, you fought the good fight!
You finished the race!
You kept the faith!  (2 Timothy 4:7)
Enjoy heaven!
We miss you already.

Deanna, I am so sorry.

I was actually wondering about him.

I saw a commercial on tv about children with cancer and I think the boy said his name was Cade.

That made me wonder if he was this say child.

Take care,
Ramona

So sad but such a sweet post! I am sure he will be missed but he's been healed!

Such a bittersweet experience when a suffering loved one is finally granted eternal mercy.

They are in my prayers and thoughts, as is your son - losing friends at any age is hard, but especially when you are young.
