Max Mississippi is the latest blog to burst onto the internet, but this blog which was launched Monday, is unique in that its goal is to feature all things Mississippi. The brainchild of Boyd Campbell, Max Mississippi is intended to be a blog about life, entertainment, and the arts in Central Mississippi.
Not to sound like an informercial, but wait! There's more! Max Mississippi has plans to keep us up to date on the latest restaurants, education news, entertainment, religion, and so much more.
Drop by and give Max Mississippi a "Hi, Ya'll!" welcome to the neighborhood and definitely add it to your blog roll so you can keep up to date on all the great things happening here in the magnolia state!

Welcome My Friend To Blogging!
One of my oldest friends has decided to start blogging. I was shocked when I received his email stating that he was starting a blog. Shaffer is the strong, silent type. He also has an amazing sense of humor and unbelievable talent. I hate, hate, hate that he lives so far away because he is an amazing illusionist. My boys have never had the chance to see him yet.
Shaffer has been encouraging me as an "unofficial" trainer in trying to get me started on a path to wellness and fitness. Shaffer conducts a program called CrossFit in his hometown and man is he getting ripped. If you want to know more about it, I know he will send you information about it.
Please visit his new blog and tell him hello:

WFMW - Five Ingredients or Less!!
This week's WFMW challenge is to post recipe with five ingredients or less. This is right up my alley because I am all about recipes and meals that are quick and easy, but delicious!! Below is a set of recipes that if you add a simple salad, you've got supper!Quick and Easy Shrimp Alfredo
1 stick butter
1 pint heavy cream
8 ounces Romano cheese, shredded
1 can cheddar soup
4 cups cooked shrimp, crawfish tails or chicken (whatever you have on hand)
Add the cream, butter and soup in a saucepan over medium-high heat, a little at a time. Add the seafood or chicken and blend. (If you want some color and a little extra flavor, you can toss in some chopped green onions.) Serve over tortellini.
Parmesan Rolls
12 frozen Parker House rolls
¼ to ½ cup butter, melted
¾ cup finely grated parmesan cheese (the powdery consistency)
Dip each frozen roll in butter, then in cheese (on all sides). Place on greased cookie sheet and let defrost and rise for 6-8 hours. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Quick Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 Duncan Hines White Cake Mix
3 medium eggs
½ c. sugar
½ c. oil
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together until smooth (except chocolate chips). The batter will be very stiff. Stir in chocolate chips. Place by tablespoon on cookie sheet. Bake only until lightly brown. Keep in airtight container.

It's A Blog!!
People are always emailing and asking for "that" recipe I had on my blog so I decided to start a blog where I keep all of my recipes. I love trying new recipes. They don't always turn out right, but I still like trying.
I am not very original with names so it is just called Deanna's Corner Cooking. I hope you will drop in for a glass of sweet tea. I've already got some recipes posted for you to try.
Why not making some delicious Homemade Salsa with all the Mississippi tomatoes available at the local farmer's markets? Perfect for the July 4th weekend.
Tired of the same old Saturday breakfast routine? Why not surprise your family with something different like this Nutty Orange Breakfast Cake.
And if you are grilling this weekend the perfect compliment to those ribs are these redneck potatoes!
I'll be adding recipes all the time. Try them and let me know how you like them.
