Bequiled

In the shadows of Charleston, someone is watching her... Rylee Monroe, a dogwalker in Charleston's wealthiest neighborhood, never feared the streets at night. But now a thief is terrorizing the area and worse, someone seems to be targeting her.

Reporter Logan Woods is covering the break-ins with the hope of publishing them as a true-crime book. The more he digs, the more he realizes this beguiling dogwalker seems to be at the center of everything. As danger draws ever closer, Logan must choose: Chase the girl, the story, or plunge into the shadows after the villain who threatens everything?

Book Review

Most authors have a style of writing and that is true for one of my favorite authors, Deeann Gist.    I was pleasantly surprised to see that what must be a great friendship translated into great writing between she and her co-writer, J. Mark Bertrand.

This story of suspense is wrapped around the life of a dog walker.     Rylee lives and walks her "clients" in the historic city of Charleston.    Deeann's love of detail is evident in this book as you can literally walk through the city of Charleston while reading.

Because this is a Christian fiction book, you would expect that their relationship with God would be at the very least an underlying theme to the book.      The few dialogs of spoken prayer that were thrown in seemed gratuitous at best.     If I had any complaints about this book, I would say that there definitely could have been a better incorporation of the relationship with God.

However, that does not mean that I did not enjoy this book immensely!      Once I started it I couldn't quit reading it.   Literally.    I stayed up until 2:00 in the morning reading.     It was just that good!

LOVE your new header or whatever you call it!

Sounds like an interesting book. One of my favorite New York things is to go to Central Park and watch all the dog walkers!!
