Little Guy's Big Ride

(Well, it finally happened.   After babying it, doctoring it and begging it to survive.... my computer finally died.    So if I am not good in responding or even posting until I find a new one it will be because I am limited to borrowing a computer.)

Every boy has dreams and Little Guy has a dream of doing a triathlon.    This past weekend he completed the first part of his goal in working towards this goal.     He competed in the Natchez Trace Century Ride.     Hubs and Tanner signed up to ride the 25 mile section of the race.

Here is Little Guy getting a little pre-race nutrition... (ignore the dates on the pictures - I am going to have to start setting Little Guy's camera before they go anywhere!)

I don't know the lady who snapped this quick pic of hubs and Little Guy before the race, but "Thank you!"   When my Daddy saw this picture he said that he thought maybe hubs and Little Guy should switch helmets.

On your mark, get set,.go...

At the eleven mile mark, there was a set "stop" for nutrition and water.     The next time you ride the Natchez Trace going towards Tupelo just notice how many hills there are.

My little champion at the finish line.    Did I mention that Little Guy was the ONLY child to enter this race?

"To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe."

You inspire us, Little Guy!

Way to go, Little Guy! Was this a full-out triathalon? Good for him! And I feel your pain on the computer front. My "brain" died so many times, I finally had to purchase a new one!
