The Day They Dread

My friend that we are going to visit called yesterday, "Hey! I have a list of questions to ask you. I knew I needed to catch you because you were probably almost finished packing." Ha! Ha! She knows me so well. I have this obsession about vacations. If at all possible, a couple of days before we are to leave on a vacation I have our suitcases packed and sitting in the dining room.

Then comes "the day". It is the day that my boys dread. I don't know why I do this, but I just have this thing about making sure that all sheets are changed and the house is picked up before we leave town. I don't want to leave the house with dishes in the dishwasher (even if they are clean) or clothes in the dryer.

There is just something about being able to come home from a vacation knowing that you are coming home to clean sheets and a clean house.

So, if you hear weeping and gnashing of teeth it is just my boys helping get ready for vacation.

I think your logic makes perfect
sense!

Once the weeping and gnashing of teeth phase is over, I hope you have an amazing time!
