WFW: Many Dimensions

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:11

This verse fascinates me. Every time I read it I get something different from it. Maybe because every time I read it I am experiencing something different in my life.

To add even more dimension, you can say this verse ten different times each time emphasizing a different word in the verse and it will mean something different. For example:

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

"I can do all things through Christ which strengthenth me."

Same verse that can mean two different things to you depending on the emphasis. I think that is why this verse is such a comfort to so many people.

What a beautiful photo!

I had a pastor a few years ago who did a sermon about this verse in the EXACT same way as you! He emphasized different words and talked about how it could be interpreted differently.

Are you hiding something from us? Did you go to seminary?? " )

Thank you for sharing this today Pastor D!

Oh, I love your take on this! You're right, it takes on a different and more powerful message with every change of emphasis. God's Word never fails to astound me. This is truly one of my favorite scriptures of ALL time. Your artful placement is great, too! I'd love to print this for my fridge...would you mind?

Thanks!

Thank you for the reminder. I have a very busy weekend ahead of me. It hasn't started but I'm already tired!

Thank you for reminding me that Jesus is my strength.

Nice of you to stop by my neck of the blogosphere too! Have a great day :)

Blessings Deanna, The Lord is my strength and it is Christ who gives me this strength & I can & will do all things in His strength. One of the best reminders of every day, is to realize that we are weak, we are nothing, unless we seek Him
first!

You are indeed gifted in the art of doing this graphics. The fall picture is perfect but your creativity & ability to place the verse in such a beautiful context around the word Christ...is so richly beautiful in showing how ALL things revolve around Him! I love the letters and pray one day I can do such beauty, such gorgeous art that truly magnifies Our Lord Jesus Christ! Everything around us should reflect the light of Christ around us! Enjoy WFW!

Hi Deanna! This verse is always near to my heart but I had never given consideration to emphasis of different words. That's very powerful!

God bless you!
