WFW: What Are You Wearing?

Being a strong woman in today's world isn't always looked at in a positive light. However, the Bible says that we are supposed to be clothed with strength. That strength is supposed to cover every area of our life -- spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional. Of course, how often do we as women actually take the time to make sure that we are putting on those clothes each day? Some mornings get so hectic I skip eating breakfast. That is not good for my physical body, but when we skip sitting down with Jesus and filling ourselves with Him it is not good for our spiritual body.

My husband has a really busy schedule. There have been moments when I have been jealous of his job and the amount of time it requires. I am proud of him and how hard he works, but I also sometimes just want to say, "Forget the job and just spend time with me!" I know that God feels that way with me. When I get so busy with my supposedly all important schedule, I know God must say, "That is wonderful, but I just want you to spend time with me!"

The Lord says that when we take the time to clothe ourselves with strength and dignity, we can laugh at the days to come. Considering the worrier that I tend to be, that is an appealing thought to me. To know that the joy of the Lord is my strength. For today and for the future.

Veryyyy well written, I have done/said the same about my hubby, Yes God says the same about us, making time for him, but I know I have been working on this situation really hard, I just thought about that song the country singer sings,

What about me, What about I, What about #1 oh ~~~~~ God is calling for us too.
Have a Great Wednesday

This was good. I find more and more that as hard as it was to get into a habit of having that quiet time with God each day, I literally CRAVE it if I skip it.

Beautiful picture of Krisa! I always loved that pic of her and such a good lesson. We often say to God, "but I have to do this first and then I can spend time with you."

I know just what you mean about time commitments to work! My hubby used to have a few months that were his "off-season." That has now disappeared, which is heart-breaking!! Where is my time??

I've not thought about that with God, but it has to be true!! Thanks for the reminder!!! I've missed you and your words!!
