It was easier to give my cat a bath than to convince my boys that the holiday break is over and it really was time to go back to school.
Oh, the groaning, whining, complaining and begging for just one more day... and that was ME!
But we finally did it and the boys are back into the routine and the house is Q.U.I.E.T.
I turned on the television for a few minutes, but it just sounded like noise.
Even the cat is following me around wondering where the boys are and where all the activity went.
There is plenty to do: laundry, cleaning, taking down decorations... but none of it is as fun as having my boys at home.
I think this is why I hate January so much. After all the holidays and fun, it is like the Monday of the year! *blech*

I know whatcha mean... decorations are the hardest part of the Holidays being over... I hate having to take them down and packing them away. And I miss my kids already :(
Love your knew background! i know how difficult it was to make myself get back to work, can't imagine making the kids get back to school too
I'll be taking down decorations today, yuck! But I would rather do it without interference. Happy Day Back to School...I'm trying to convince myself of that!!
Glad you and Hubby had a nice little date night. That sounds so SWEET!
First day back is always hard. I got into a really bad habit of staying up late and sleeping in with no alarm clock for the last couple of weeks.
Gert was BEYOND excited to get back to school today... she's missing her friends and her routine. Essie wasn't quite as thrilled but I think she too is eagar to get back to her friends!
Decorations will probably go down on Thursday.
The month of Monday. So true.
i LOVE putting out the stuff, but HATE putting it back up!!! LOL!!!
Awwww, I feel it! but I enjoyed the space back in my living room.
And I got everything all clean again. I just didn't like packing it all up again. It's such a chore. hahahaha
Have a Happy Monday

mayberry pegged it for me -- I played fast and loose with the schedule too much. My high schooler goes back today and college boy tomorrow so Monday I made myself get up at -- eek -- 5:30. Didn't help. Still blindly stumbled my way to the caffeine tomorrow!
Tree and everything comes down today, woo hoo! I love putting it up but I'm also always happy to see the end of it!
