Deep Thinker

Little Guy is working through Max Lucado's "3:16" For Teens book as part of his Bible time.      Today after he finished reading his session we sat down to discuss the questions at the back.

One of the questions was, "In what way do you want to be more like God?"

His answer:   "Everybody wants to be like God.      People view God as this person with all the power.    Someone who can see everything, be everywhere and do everything.      What people don't want to do is be like Jesus.      That is really hard.    To be kind and nice.     To act like Jesus did.      That is what people don't want to do.    But that is the part of God I want to be like."

I think he's got it.

As they say, "out of the mouths of babes"... If you find a way to bottle his wisdom, could you please send me a drop or two?

You and Hubs have done well, Deanna.

Shelby, hubs and I wouldn't even begin to take credit for the relationship that Little Guy and his Heavenly Father have developed. However, we are privileged to be his parents and to try to teach him more and more about God every day!

Love it. Great thought. My problem with many people's concept of God is exactly that: they think God is about the kind of power the ego craves. Not at all.
