Double Duty for Alka Seltzer

I have no idea why we had a box of Alka Seltzer in the house, but we did. Not wanting to waste them I decided to figure out what we could do with them. I wound up using the entire box (not for their original intended uses), but they worked great all the same!!

1. Need to clean a vase? Fill it with water and drop in an Alka Selter tablet.
2. Need to clean your garbage disposal? Drop in a tablet and chase it with some vinegar. Allow it to sit for about two minutes and then rinse thoroughly with hot water. For a fresher smelling drain, drop in a few orange or lemon peels too!
3. Drop a couple of these tablets into your toilet and then scrub your toilet to a shinier finish.
4. Got a baked on mess? Submerge your dish in hot water along with a tablet.
5. Does your child wear a retainer? Drop the retainer into some water along with a tablet and it will help GREATLY!

So true! Went to your blog this morning. Love the new look. Decided to give the cat look the boot after the poo incident??

Considering how bad they taste, the toilet is the perfect place for them.

An old friend used to put the tablets in his belly button while he showered. I think that says a lot about him.

i've *heard* that they get rid of pesky birds too

Wifey has a good point, but keep in mind Coke does a mean job on the toilet too! LOL

We like to use these or denture tablets to keep our thermoses clean.
