The day has been pretty intense. The doctors put in a cath with a filter to take care of any other blood clots. Andy can't cough so they are using a suctioning maching. This is NO fun.
He is wanting to exercise his hands and arms more. Daniel, his brother, noticed and "Whooped" at an improvement. The family has been so complimentary of the many helpful people at Walter Reed. They will listen, answer questions and listen more. Some even pray with Daniel.
The military is flying Andy's parents into Walter Reed tonight. Pray for them as Sarah said that seeing Andy for the first time is quite a shock.
I am happy to report that Andy consumed great quantities of ice cream and Jell-O today. Andy LOVES, LOVES ice cream so it was a wonderful treat.

Thanks for the update, Deanna. I'm glad to hear that Andy is still in there swinging and, you're right, the ice cream is a good thing. My stepdaughter had mucho care at Walter Reed as she was born with a congenital heart problem while hub was in the Air Force and hub just never has enough good to say about the people and care there. Andy truly is in good hands and, even better, in God's hands.
PS I'm jealous, how'd ya do this drop-down thingy on the comments?
