Living with boys means being awakened from a peaceful sleep by the sound of your house's security system going off. It's deafening sound scaring your whole house and waking up the entire neighborhood (guess we won't be receiving any July 4th party invitations!) and Little Guy running into your bedroom with his ears covered. As you are trying to become coherent enough to dash for the alarm control system, it shuts off and you realize that your husband hasn't left for work yet. (Yes, it is THAT early in the morning). Hubby walks in and I ask him a still incoherent question which finally ends up with him deciding to go check our outside utility doors to see if anyone opened them.
While he is gone I ask Little Guy if he is O.K. and if that really scared him to which he replies, "I was trying practice my fire escape drill and opened my window when that alarm went off...."
That is living with boys.
(Big Guy? Asleep through the entire thing! Soooo like his Daddy!)

ROFL, never under estimate those fire drills. I don't know how your hubby didn't jump straight out of bed, our alarm drives mine into a mad man... he got his flash light in one hand, and a gun in another, why still in his man panties.. "sorry ladies yes he is taken" It a picture I'm sure has burned into my neighbors head.
that's hilarious!

They may be there Saturday. If my parents are here they will probably stay home with them, but if they don't they will come with us. Can't wait to see you!!
Awwww, such a sweet little guy. Trying to do the right thing and sets off the alarm.
Confessions: Man panties (ROTF at that) or not, at least yours gets out of bed, mine just pulls the pillow over his head and I have to go check the house for madmen by myself.
LOL Well you gotta give the little guy credit, he was trying to do something GOOD!!!
