Update #2: Lots To Pray About

Update #2: 10:34 and Dennis is out of surgery. He had a seizure during surgery and they are worried about more seizures. Because of the impact and lack of oxygen, they are concerned about the possibility of early onset epilepsy. As I told Kelsey, these are all precautionary concerns and not definites, God is in ultimate control.

Update: We just received news that Larry's fever has broken. He even went back into the bush with his team to help do some work. Praise the Lord!

Kelsey twittered and said Dennis is being prepped for surgery now. (7:30p.m.) The surgery should take about 3 hours. Kelsey received a very hateful email saying it is her fault Dennis is in critical condition because they shouldn't have been in bicycle carrier to begin with. This person obviously doesn't know the whole story behind the accident and must have a lot of hate in her heart to cause grief at a time such as this.

Lots of praying going on in our house for lots of people:

Hubs' big brother, Larry, is on a mission trip to Africa. He has gotten sick and is running a high fever. They are out in the bush country so their access to medical care is limited. They think he got whatever it is he has from his translator. There is a nurse with their mission team and she brought antibiotics and he has started those.

One of my good friends, Julie, from high school had back surgery this morning. She is out of surgery and in recovery, but she is in for a lot of pain and as she says, "clicking the morphine drip", while recovering.

AND...

Last night one of our blogging friends, Kelsey from My Sweet Life, and her three sweet children were in a terrible accident. They were all hurt, but her son, Dennis, was critically injured. I was up until way past midnight twittering with her and getting updates on Dennis and his surgery for the bleeding into his brain. His heart stopped twice during surgery last night scaring all of us. A few minutes ago she twittered and said that she and her other two children had been discharged from the hospital, but Dennis was about to go back into surgery. She and the children will be staying at the Ronald McDonald house while Dennis is in the hospital.

So much to pray about and probably so much more we aren't even aware of!

Deanna, thanks for the list. We all need to be lifting one another up. I had missed the last Kelsey update. Thanks for including her and the family. It is so sad. I will continue to lift Dennis up as well as these others.
